Is this site secure?

Yes the order process on our site is secure. This can be identified by the padlock icons on the check out page.
All of your personal and card details are protected using 128 bit encryption when transmitted over the Internet.
The secure transmission of your order details is handled by Globe Charge (www.globecharge.com).

Do you give advice?

We are known for no-nonsense, professional advice and after sales support.

We can provide you with professional advice and after sales service if required. Please get in touch if you have any type of question. We do our best that you do not end up with an unsuitable or not fit for the purpose kite or unnecessary accessories. Remember all our kites are branded and come from reputable European suppliers and manufacturers that like us have a reputation to protect. Unlike many other no-name kites out there, they are well designed and of high quality, fly and last a long time if treated well.

I am not always available to talk to - make sure you leave a name and number in case I can't answer the phone.

I have a problem with the shopping basket or checkout.

If you encounter any problems that don't allow you to order online, simply email or call us with your request. Do not include Credit Card Details in your eMail

In the rare event that there is a problem that does not allow you to check out, please take a note of the items you would like and let us know by email. If you leave a telephone number we will call you and take your order over the phone.
In any case please inform us of the problem so that we can get it fixed.

Payment

How can I pay?

 

During our secure checkout you find various methods to pay for your goods.
If you pay by card your credit card or bank statement will show payment made to EMKAY.
If you pay by cheque please make it payable to EMKAY - Allow up to 5 working days for funds to clear.
You can also collect the item(s) that you have ordered in our showroom. We will call or eMail you when your order is ready for collection.
We can also accept payment by PAY PAL. Use Pay Upfront as the payment method and we email you a link for a PayPal payment. We have no direct click through to PayPal as we need to manually work out and add airmail charges to orders from outside the UK.  
You can also visit us and have a look at the large choice of products that we have in stock.
Visits are by appointment only. Remember to email or call first.

Do you accepy PAY PAL

Yes we accept PayPal - Please read on.

PayPal is the preferred method for orders from outside the UK.
As no shipping charges are added to orders outside the UK (these need to by varified first) and as it is possible that some items can't be send to certain international destinations, a direct click through for a PayPal payment is not enabled. Please use the Pay Upfront method or email us and we email you instructions to complete a PAYPAL payment. 

Sorry about the way we handle this, but it should protect our international customers from making a payment when an order is either incomplete or in case there are problems with the delivery.

Pricing

Where applicable all prices are inclusive of 17.5% UK Sales Tax (VAT - Value added tax). European customers with a valid VAT/UStIDNr and overseas Non-EU customers do not pay UK VAT. We will advice you of this with the order confirmation were necessary.

 

 

Can I combine Special Offers with another Discount.

From time to time we have special offers throughout our online shop.
These cannot be combined with a voucher code, promotional or any other discount offer that you might have received.
We will sell the item to you at the lowest of the 2 prices(special offer price or your voucher discount against normal price). If in doubt please get in touch to varify total cost of the item.

How do I know how much I am spending?

After you add items to your basket, you will see the total £ of your shopping basket updated in the top left corner. Delivery charges are added during checkout.
The default price display is UK Pound Sterling (£). Our site gives you the opportunity to change the prices displayed (for reference only) to one of the major currencies used. If your currency is not listed and you need to check the cost in your countries currency please go to: www.exchangerate.com. This site will give you an approximate what you can expect to be charged.

price match

I would prefer to buy from you but I have found the item at a better price somewhere else. Do you Price Match?

In case you like us as your preferred supplier and you have seen a product cheaper elsewhere - please get in touch. We are proud of our service to you and feel that where we can we match a price that you have seen elsewhere.

May be we are just behind with changing the prices as adviced by the kite manufacturer.
Please let us know where you have seen the product cheaper. eMail us a link.
We will only beat prices on a like for like basis. Quite often it appears that a product may be cheaper elsewhere but on investigation it may not be the same (especially when inferior kite lines are offered free of charge).

How do I know that you have received my order?

Globe Charge that handles the secure order transmission will send an automated order confirmation to you. You can track the status of your order as well by following the link in the email.
We here at EMKAY Kites process your order, handle payment and shipping.
Unless we have notified you during checkout that we are closed for a short time please get in touch if your order status has not been changed after 2-3 days.

 

What is happening with my order ?

You can check the status of your order while we are working on it.
With your confirmation notification you get a link to track the status of your order.

UK Deliveries - How do you ship, what are your shipping cost and delivery times?

Royal Mail 1st class service does not always accept items of a certain size (60cm and longer). If your item is too long it will have to be shipped using Royal Mail's Standard Parcels service (3-5 days) or by Fed Ex (2-3 days). We will notify you how we ship on your order status and usually by separate eMail. If you want a next day service for longer items (kite dimensions usually give an indication on package size) please use Fed Ex Next Day. There are no size restrictions.
For Fed Ex deliveries please make sure someone is in during daytime (up to 5pm).
For Royal Mail Recorded a signature is also required on delivery.

If you are not in: FE or RM should leave a card with instructions and attempt another delivery the next day unless you can leave signed instructions best where to leave the parcel (i.e. in shed, with neighbours etc.).

Shipping costs added during checkout are for mainland UK deliveries only. Depending on weight and size orders are shipped using either Royal Mail, Parcel Force or a courier service (Fed Ex UK).

over £100 free (unless special promotional discounts appy)

Fed Ex Economy 2-3 days for larger items £6.50 up to £99
Fed Ex Next Day £7.50 or £3.50 for orders over £99.

If Next Day by Royal Mail Special Delivery is possible and cheaper we refund the difference.

A signature will normally be required for all deliveries upon delivery.
Orders with a value over UK £99 are delivered free of charge to UK Mainland destinations.
Please allow up to 5 days for economy deliveries for in stock items. Usually you will receive in stock items sooner.

When selecting a Next Day service please make sure we have your order by Noon the day before you would like items delivered. Please also leave a daytime telephone number on the order in case we need to get in touch with you (mobile number might be best so that we can text you a confirmation).


For remote UK destinations (i.e.Channel Islands, Southern Ireland), European and Overseas (USA, CANADA etc) destinations please 
email us for a quote and see FAQs further down.

Can you ship somewhere other than my home address?

Yes - We can deliver to your work place or any other address that you specify.

We are all busy peope and we miss the postman's delivery now and again.
The law of the delivery according to my wife is that you are likely in the shower, walking the dogs or collecting the children when the delivery man arrives.
During checkout you have the option to specify a different delivery address.
If you want your parcel to be delivered to a neighbour or your work place, please make sure there is a point of contact that can sign for your parcel. You will need to give your home address details as they are needed for card verification.

Do you have a next day service?

Most in stock items leave us 1-2 working days days (Mon - Fri) after the order has been received. Should you require an item sooner or you want it delivered on a specific day then you need to let us know during checkout or get in touch with us.

Yes - If we get your order in time, we can manage a next day service.
Cost £7.50 usually by FedEx UK. For orders above £99.00 the charge is £3.50.

I am from outside the UK - Can I order from you?

We ship to most destinations on this planet.
If you are from outside the UK we will inform you on the shipping cost first before we take a payment or give you PayPal instructions.

IMPORTANT Information
Please read below:

If you are from outside the UK you can change the currency by clicking on the PICK YOUR CURRENCY above the navigation bar on the left. That should give you an approximate idea what the cost of your order will be.
Note that no shipping charges to destinations outside the UK are added during checkout. They are calculated manually while processing your order and are based on actual airmail/postal charges. We will inform you on these by email before we ship and take payment so that you can decide to cancel the order if shipping cost are in no relationship to the item value, unless you instruct us with a message during checkout or by email that shipping charges up to UK£10 in addition to Airsure (see below) when selected are acceptable.

AIRSURE/International Signed For

Although optional (see below), we advice you to select AIRSURE at an additional cost of £4.50. 
If not selected we can't take responsibility and issue a refund and or replace any item that goes missing in transit. Without this service we can not track items once they are outside the UK.
USE Only for destinations outside the UK.

Most destinations outside the European Union won't have to pay UK sales TAX (17.5%). 
Please note that you might have to pay import or other taxes when importing goods from the United Kingdom.

How do I know that items are available?

Items that you can add to your shopping basket are normally in stock (unless specified otherwise). In the rare event that items sell out before we can update our database, we will inform you by eMail about any delays.

How do I order out of stock items?

If an item is out of stock and the option to order is available, you can pre-order the item.  We will inform you about the expected delay and also notify you when we are going to ship the item. You have the option to cancel your order at any time should you not be prepared to wait.
We do our best to update this site as best as we can.

How do I find out about products that are not listed?

There are many more kites out there waiting for a new home. In case you are looking for a special kite or a kite related item that you have seen somewhere else, please get in touch and let us know. We stock and supply many more items than are listed here. If what you are looking for is not in stock we will do our best to get it for you or point your in the right direction.    

Send a stamped SAE and we send you all our catalogues in PDF and moe on CD (Free Reader software supplied just in case).

Can I visit you?

You want to visit us? Yes please. We welcome visitors - But please call first as we or are not always in. We have customers travelling from miles away. It's well worth seeing what we have on our shelfs.
