The Wolf is the second in the series of spider kites created by Jon Trennepohl and Wayne Brunjes. This kite uses new framing techniques using wrapped carbon and fiberglass which makes for an unbelievably wide wind range while maintaining durability.

Here are some details I hope you will find helpful.
Next is the Wolf. It is a 80% version of the Widow with a few modifications. The real break through with this kite is the way the leading edges are done. To make the kite more affordable I was able to take a 32.5" P-200 to use for the bottom leading edge and take a piece of .2400 /6 mm fiberglass tube cut at about 14" and then taking the 6.5" of the p200 lower spreader and gluing it on the fiberglass top leading edge, leaving 1.5" as the ferrule with a solid pin glued inside to act as the ferrule. Now you have a leading edge that is 39" of P-200 wrapped carbon for most of the leading edge with just a small section of fiberglass that finishes the top part By using the smaller connector that sets on top of the P-200 tube and using a 5 mm carbon top spreader it compensates for the weight of the only fiberglass in the kite. A P-90 is used for the spine. This kite also has no leech line. It has mylar on the whole trailing edge. It is very quiet and durable. I also went with one standoff per side. I started with two and when I switched to one I could not believe the difference in tracking and the kite had way more pull. It lost nothing in the trick department. It has yo-yo stoppers and it does not need a weight to roll up. It has a 3 point black bridle with top adjuster knots. It has flat fled seems and the spider body is appliquéd in the center. I have to say this kite looks really good in the air. It has a great wind range. I have flown this kite in more wind than I like to, over 20 mph, and it does really well. I really tried for giving the flyer the most kite for the money. It comes with a spectra line set, straps and good bag.
